How many targets are they going to shoot for the 600 this coming weekend?

Is it four LG and four HG in the AM and the same in the PM?

I'm wondering if I need more ammo.....

I would like to know also....I've never been to a 600 yard shoot,,,I have no clue as to how many rounds to bring for Sun. Hopefully I run out on Sat.... ;D

Tod,

I asked Gordy how many shots on Sunday. Here's his response:

4 LG and 4 HG all 5 shot groups. We will shoot 2 targets at once. 3 minutes on clays, 3 minute sighter, 10 minute record, 2 minute sighter and then we will shoot 2nd target.

So I'm assuming it's two targets per gun in the AM for match 1and two per gun in the PM for match 2.

Depends....are you going to make any shootoffs?? ;D

I usualy get by with 100, but I shoot lots of sighters.

As far as shootoffs.....What's a shootoff again? :-[

I usually figure the minimum at 25 rds in LG and 35 for HG in the AM for both matches and shootoffs.

And repeat the quantities for the afternoon matches.

I can't believe the number of guys that don't bring enough ammo and then complain they don't have enough for the shoot off.........

I'll be lucky just to hit the paper...at least that is what my goal is. This will be my first match and not completely sure how the shoot off works but I'am fairly sure I won't have to worry about it.

When you sit down to shoot on your relay, you're shooting for group and score at the same time. There are two winners for each relay, one for the smallest group, and the other for the highest score. Those winners go into a shoot off against the other respective relay winners, meaning only the group winners compete against each other and the score winners against each other.

The first target of the day we'll make sure you're on and ready to go. (except for that 4x guy ;D, he's on his own)

Hopefully I can get there friday and I can have Alf shoot my gun for me to get me on target!!!

Anything for you buddy. ;D

I'll be there Friday afternoon to fling a couple myself. I'm still zeroed from the 600 Nats.

Well...that may be good enough...I am coming to the 1000 yard shoot using last years recipies...even have some ammo left over for sighters. I am going to have to totaly GUESS for the 600 on Sun. I have very little load development done with the new Dasher, and don't want to shoot my 1k gear. I have tried the SMK and the Berger VLD-H (new) with RL 15 and Varget. 3 shots with each powder/bullet combo at 32.0, 32.3, 32.6, 32.9, and 33.2......I am going to have to pick a comp load based on a single 3 shot group. Kinda sucks. Plus....I only have 50 of each bullet left since I loaded up a bunch more test ammo that is just sitting there (I don't want to pull any bullets), so I will load 50 of each bullet and alternate groups during the match as a test.

I wish I had more brass to FF.....29 G Varget/ old VLD -H (2790 fps) printed itty bitty groups at 100, and gave me ZERO vertical in the two "F" class matches I have shot in (300-600). I mean ZERO! I figured that "F" class matches are as good a place as any to FF my Dasher brass.
