Harrels 6 bra sizer

^^^^ There is the option to replace the jaws with a standard shell holder set up..... the shell holder still floats and it's not permanent. I did mine like that as I didn't like the jaws....been like that for approx. 20 years (thanks Ruddy!) and haven't regretted it once.

I'm aware of that and should have said without using the standard style shell holder setup.
I've got a few standard shell holders I've shortened to my other pressures but I've really grown to like the self centering floating jaw set up on the co ax.

Same. With Redding competition shell holders. Makes life simple

What I remember hearing was the early 6BRAI dies were a 6 Dasher die .80 short then they went to .85 short
my second 6BRAI is .05 short than my first
Sounds about right, I might have thought it was a .010" difference but not sure and they still may be shortening a dasher die to make a BRA, I don't know. I've handled probably 3000 pieces of BRA brass with 0 up to 20+ firings using 2 Harrels and a LE Wilson die through several barrels.
Both the Harrels have been too long for several different RCBS presses, an ARCO Hood press and now a Co Ax.
The LE Wilson too long on the Co Ax and a light shell holder buff on others and as many have said either shorten the shellholder or the die. It's not that big of a deal and I've done it both ways.
The 2 Harrels dies are as smooth as butter and are my go to dies. The LE Wilson is not far behind them but there is a slight noticeable difference. I've got a Forster non bushing die coming to try and If/when I get another bushing die it will likely be a Harrels. If it's too long I'll shorten it and go on.

As to the standard shell holder floating on the Co Ax I don't doubt it but I like the way you set a case into the open jaws and as you stroke the ram up it self centers and you don't have to line it up in the groove like a standard shell holder. So that's why I'm shortening the die for a Co Ax
