Harrels 6 bra sizer

Anyone using a harrels dasher die shortened in a coax press for bra?I have one and need more taken off to bump shoulders back.If anyone has length of body that works with a coax I would appreciate it

I’ve had to take a little off a Harrel’s BRX die and a Dasher die. .010” did the trick. Be sure and get a good rounded chamfer on the inside .

I tried the Harrell's 6BRA & 6PPC dies that I own on my Co-Ax press and just couldn't get the dies to size the brass enough then tried both dies on a single stage press and now all is GOOD. I believe on the Co-Ax press the Shell Holder Jaws have too much flex. Just my opinion.

I've always thought those numbers refer to diameter sizing and nothing to do with the length of the die or shoulder bump. Of course I could be wrong
The 3.5 I have is shorter and is for my barrel that came from Alex Wheeler the 2.5 is longer and for my barrels from Tim Claunch.

I’ve never had any problems setting them up to bump my cases .0025 but I use old RCBS press to size with

That's interesting, is the shorter die newer or older?

I got them both about the same time , the 2.5 is maybe 5-6 months older
Both in 2019
I'm not sure when they started making them shorter but still think the number refers to sizing diameter not the die length or shoulder bump. Again if I'm wrong I'm wrong so hopefully someone that knows for sure can weigh in.

Seems to say the number represents sizing at the base to prevent clickers.

Yes you’re right. The 3.5 sizes to a smaller dia. Idk if all 3.5s are shorter than 2.5s or not. I can’t remember now but the paperwork for the 3.5 was marked .0xx short dasher and the 2.5?was .010 longer
