Just curious if anyone use's a Harrels tuner brake on a rimfire. Or if any knows a reason why they won’t work on a rimfire. Thanks.

Will fill up with lead dust and powder fouling and lube. Need to keep them clean. I ran a radial brake for weight on my original tikka and it fouled pretty bad. Fouling will change the weight of the tuner which could ultimately affect the tune.

Thanks good advice

Just wondering about this. I put a lothar walther barrel on my sons cz457. The muzzle is threaded so thought this might be a easy way to go.

Would the same thing not happen to a regular tuner to ?

Harrell's makes a tactical tuner brake similar to an AR-15 muzzle brake:

AR-15 brake, shown with shaft collar I was using to tune harmonics.

I have used this brake for a few years. It stays clean longer than a radially ported brake. The added weight of the brake helped cut my groups in half compared to the barrel with the steel thread protector. I also believe that the large ports and baffles vent gas away from the bullet base helping with bullet stability.

Just a suggestion. As always, YMMV.

Is there an instruction manual written out somewhere on how to set up a harrels tuner from start to finish? Like what to look for not just a turn it til you get the smallest groups type thing? Theres way to long of an adjustment for that

You can go the whole Hopewell deal which can burn through lots of ammo. Plan B. If your barrel is 24”-26” start @200 and work in and out 15-20 clicks. You may be good @200-210.
