Thanks good adviceWill fill up with lead dust and powder fouling and lube. Need to keep them clean. I ran a radial brake for weight on my original tikka and it fouled pretty bad. Fouling will change the weight of the tuner which could ultimately affect the tune.
Would the same thing not happen to a regular tuner to ?Will fill up with lead dust and powder fouling and lube. Need to keep them clean. I ran a radial brake for weight on my original tikka and it fouled pretty bad. Fouling will change the weight of the tuner which could ultimately affect the tune

Just because that tuner is threaded and his barrel is threaded. Is the main reasonJust wondering, why a brake on a rimfire? I have a Harrell’s tuner on my rimfire.
Now I understand. Makes perfect sense.Just because that tuner is threaded and his barrel is threaded. Is the main reason
I have wondered that toIs there an instruction manual written out somewhere on how to set up a harrels tuner from start to finish? Like what to look for not just a turn it til you get the smallest groups type thing? Theres way to long of an adjustment for that
Google "Hopewell tuner method". It's often a good place to begin. Is there an instruction manual written out somewhere on how to set up a harrels tuner from start to finish? Like what to look for not just a turn it til you get the smallest groups type thing? Theres way to long of an adjustment for that
