harrells powder measure / RCBS

I currently use a RCBS uniflow measure, and a DI MXX123 scale. It seams that the powder measure throws inconsistantly. I've tried a baffel, tried gently useing the leaver and I've tried giveing it a little slam to jar things into the meetering chamber uniformly. I still get the same results. Some charges are right on, others are + - more than I woul like.

Is one of the Harrells much better, or won't I be gaining anything?

Most common powders I use are H4350, Varget, RL15.

The Harrell's would be a step up in quality, HOWEVER, a Culver type measure has its limitations no matter who makes it.

The Harrells do great with small size powder, but with the stick will not throw as well. If mine is off it is a little light. For hunting it is ok, but for long range Benchrest I still weight each load. They are great for working up loads at the range.

Spend the $20 for the Lee Precision Powder measure.

No Clicks, but for 20 bucks - great.

I have one set 46.5 grs Varget for Palma. And two others for 223 using Varget.

I bought those for $10.

I'm not after looks, but I would like something to throw and go. Weighing gets old but I'll just stick with what I have

Get the Lee measure and set it for your most used stick powder.
If you shoot large amounts of another stick powder load buy another Lee measure. For the 20 dollars or less they throw stick powders very well.
