Hard Guncase for wide Scopes?

Where to find a wide case for my Sightron 10-50x60 on my Savage F/TR? My cases are too narrow. What esle do you guys do to protect rifle and scope?

I have been using the "Plano air Glide" on sale now thru this site from amazon.com $34.95 shipped..for a soft case "Allen" has some nice ones too for the big scopes..I bought the 50" model, also find find them on amazon.com~Danny

If you can find one, this is an alternative. Holds 2 rifles as long as you want!

Made for Stinger missiles.

Some use Double Gun cases. I have one of these and several Air Glide. The Air Glide offer great protection but tip over easily.

I have several of the Plano Air Glides. They have straps to hold the rifle in a vertical position and work great with my Benchrest rifles. Tom

Airglide houses my 8-32 Sightron SIII just fine on my Sendero barreled 6br although you need to sneak the front hold down strap under the scope. I bought four while they were on sale at Amazon.

I like the AirGlides too, but I doubt the Savage F-TR will fit. About 49.5" is the longest you can fit in the case. We all wish it was just a couple inches longer to hold a 30" barrel.

I got the Peli 1750, it's built like a tank and it can take a beating without any damage to the gun.

Have you used the Air Glide with the 10-60? I mounted my new 10-60 never thinking it wouldn't fit but when I went to the range yesterday I couldn't get it to close. I was in a hurry so just threw the rifle in the back seat and off I went. Not sure if I can trim the foam enough to get it to fit or not.

I also have the pelican 1750, just finished cutting the foam to fit the rifle. It's water proof and air tight. It was a little pricey but should last a live time.

Waskawood,

I have a 10-50 Sightron on a tall Davidson base on a bench gun and it fits in the Plano Airglide after removing some of the bottom part of the foam insert.
Sometimes just removing the turret cover on the elevation knob will buy you enough clearance too.

Plus one on the AirGlide, using it for my Cooper 22-250 with a Nightforce 12-42 NXS fits great and secure.

Amazon's still has 'em for 34 bucks shipped. I bought three, clicked through this site. Don't have to worry about the foam lined ones holding moisture. Hog
