1619 banks of the James river. "Berkeley" in Charles City county Virginia. Wonderful story,googlefoo it. "Taps" ,composed and played there for the first time as well(1863/4?). Great area for serious students of classic American architecture. Wife an I make it there every few years.

Happy thanksgiving to all. Last year I told my sister, I am not a big turkey fan and she agreed. For the first time in my life we are having a non turkey family Thanksgiving. As a 14th direct descendant of William B, we may all be struck dead. My wife's family had a tradition of sharing their meal with some one less fortunate. We need to bring that tradition back. Again I hope everyone has something to be thankful for.
