Happy New Tikka T1X Owner

Got my new T1X last week and so far, I am very pleased. No extraction or ejection issues. Adjusted trigger to 2 1/2 lbs. to match all my other rifles. Nice crisp let off, no creep or back travel. Don't like the plastic butt plate - but used my PAST leather shoulder pad to provide a nonslip contact with shoulder.

To date I've shot 16 each, 5 shot groups at 50 yards that have averaged .536" with CCI Standard Velocity ammo, off a Harris Bipod with rear rest. I haven't used a bipod off the bench in a long time, so I was pleased with my shooting.

Ordered a vertical pistol grip today hoping, like all my other Tikka's, it will improve my trigger finger position and help me shoot better.

This is exactly what I was looking for to economically increase my recreational shooting activities. So far so good. ;)

Glad you like your Tikka T1X. I'm very pleased with mine. My wife shot mine yesterday with SK Standard Plus at 50 yards on an ARA factory class target. She did pretty good but I believe it needs the vertical pistol grip. Where did you purchase yours from?

Beretta Store USA, they have different colors if that's your thing, prices very reasonable.

That grip made a big difference for me with my Tikka centerfires. Even though I am small guy, I have large hands. That grip does a better job of aligning my trigger finger with the trigger so I can get more of a straight press rearward.

Congrats on your new rifle. I bought one several years ago, the first thing I did was install the vertical grip, wide for end piece and the recoil pad to increase the LOP. Later I added a Jard trigger, money well spent. IMO this is one of the best rifles for the money on the market.

My rifle shoots everything I've fed it well and will occasionally shoot a bragging group.

I to have a T1X and love it. I picked up a used grip and a fore-end and I think it made the little rifle a lot better off the rest anyway. Still contemplating a KRG Bravo stock though. I just like the way they look. If I could change anything, I wish the barrel was a tad heavier. Here again, probably just cosmetic.

How about this, a heavier barrel plus a target grade stock with an adjustable cheek riser and a target pistol grip. I'll bet that sweetie would sale like Tums at a jalapeno smorgasbord.

I hear ya, luckily mine shot the high velocity stuff under ideal conditions right from the get go, as seen here , CCI Velocitor 3 shots benched at 50 yards. This 5 shot was my best Eley Match. Good squirrel round head shot only.Stock T1x with a 1 lb trigger and a Weaver 20X variable Grand Slam. This rifle will never leave as long as i'm alive.
