Happy Birthday to Richard Schatz (Note from Sam Hall)

Received an email today from Sam Hall. Sam explained that Richard Schatz, a great 600-yard shooter, has recovered from major health issues and is celebrating a birthday tomorrow, April 3, 2012. Perhaps Forum members would like to wish Richard well.

Sam wrote:

"I just got off the phone with Randy Dawson (birddog) from TN. Randy said Richard Schatz's wife called him a few days ago and said Richard's birthday is tomorrow, April 3rd. It would be very nice if we all could at least contact him, or send him a card. A card should have time to get there by Saturday if we send them right away.

For those that don't know Richard, he had a very serious health scare with a brain tumor last year. By the grace of God, it went away on its own from what I was told. Richard is in good health now. I believe his wife would like to show him how much everyone appreciates him after that scare. Richard is one fine gentleman and has done alot for the shooting community. Let's show him as much support as we can and wish him a happy birthday!"

I wouldn't qualify Richard as just a good "600 yard" shooter, I know he has kept all the bullets on the paper at 1000 yards a time or two also. ;D

I have shot only two matches that Richard was also competing,....both were 1K matches in Missoula Mt during the August super shoot and he won prizes and money both years, I sat and listened to him and others talk, I plan on cornering him this year and really picking his brain

As far as my health goes, I'm doing very well and feeling better than ever. I'm planning on attending a full schedule of shooting matches for the summer.
