Happy 2A Day!

For many in the firearms community, April 17 carries real historical weight. It marks the anniversary of the Battles of Lexington and Concord in 1775, when British troops marched to seize and destroy colonial arms and powder stores. That history is a big reason why April 17 has become a meaningful grassroots date for those who value the Second Amendment today.

However you choose to recognize it, today is about understanding the history, appreciating what the date represents, and honoring the traditions that continue to matter to this community.

Not to quibble, but I thought it was April 19.

I guess you could make it April 18th, the day that the Brits received secret orders to capture and destroy colonial military supplies reportedly stored at Concord -- but I'm not sure I see any nexus to the 17th...
