How else are you going to get a bullet into a 22lr?Interesting why the RBT at such low velocity?
I’m going to start with Red Dot but am open to trying others as well. This is a learning processI didnt know you could buy primed 22LR cases ? Are you going to use Bullseye?
yeah i guess- i wonder what is in factory loadsI’m going to start with Red Dot but am open to trying others as well. This is a learning process
I’ve designed this bullet for 22lr elr mostly. There is a back thought about prs because it’s designed to be able to feed out of a 22wmr mag. Some of the rimfire rifle games have (had?) fairly stringent rules on ammunition - even specifically stating “no pulled bullets, no reloaded ammunition”. As a regular participant, I hope that there are modern advances in what is an antiquated design. At the best of times, the lot to lot variations are terrible, even in premium ammo. I hope I live to see non-heeled, jacketed, consistent .22lr ammo!
I’ve pulled apart a few. They have a tiny stick powder in them and not a flake. Not sure it’s any commercially available powderyeah i guess- i wonder what is in factory loads
i always wondered and i think somebody on this board knows.I’ve pulled apart a few. They have a tiny stick powder in them and not a flake. Not sure it’s any commercially available powder
im sure you know there are alot of loads out there onlineI’ve pulled apart a few. They have a tiny stick powder in them and not a flake. Not sure it’s any commercially available powder
I guess so but I have a Contender pistol that can switch from rim to center strike. I'm not really sure what the purpose of the center primer in a rimfire case design is thoughWedgy the RCC brass has the primer pocket in the center of the case, am i right in thinking that a rim fire rifle would have to be modified to work cause the firing pin would not hit the primer????
pull some more apart. Some are very tiny flake powders. I am very happy younare persuing this. Please keep posting.I’ve pulled apart a few. They have a tiny stick powder in them and not a flake. Not sure it’s any commercially available powder
Pretty sure there isn’t a bullet out there with this same design. Unless you’re talking about a heeled bullet. In that case, those bullets are generally a rebates boattail design. Pretty sure Tubb has a rbt on his bulletsMy friend GetRDid has loaded 30 caliber bullets of the same design. I asked him about the bullets, because of the step-down into a boat-tail. But I have not seen them in 22 caliber.
I’ve seen them. Generally they’re for lead and 40ish grain bullets though.im sure you know there are alot of loads out there online
This bullet is a lathe turned copper solidYou guys have it over on me with those bullets. I drifted away from lead-core bullets, some time ago and use only lathed solid coppers, with pressure bands.
It may have been a heeled-bullet now that you mention it.
