Hand loaded 22lr is going to happen!

So I want to do more with a 22lr than most consider possible. Had my friends at Badlands Precision make me a bullet and used a 1-5.75 Bartlein barrel from @FrankG . Should have these in hand by the end of the week if the post office does their job and be testing by the middle of the month

Can the cases stand it? Years ago used to pull 22 rimfire mag bullets and replace with 50 gr jacketed for hunter pistol silhouette. Killer round but most of the brass did not survive.

These are sized for the bore so pressure shouldn’t be crazy. As long as the case doesn’t rupture it will be fine. I’ll post up to case failure and then back down from there. No plans on reloading

No lead core. Solid copper. I would be interested if you’ve seen this exact bullet design before though. I spent quite a bit of time designing it

Makes sense to me! However, I've been jumping over dollar bills to save small change for years. It doesn't even hurt when I "shoot myself in the foot".

What powders are you planning on using? I think its a neat project. Estimated velocities? Wondering if the BC on that bullet will be worth it.

Geno, I have been exploring 338 LM as a side to shooting my 7’s in .284 and Saum in 1,000 yard F-Class, over the last few years now, renewed by the new A-Tip bullet’s stats.

These two experiments may be fraternal twins.

Their project is ready to go but they are having trouble finding a primed brass supplier.

I'm in a lead free state and have been looking at something to shoot ground squirrels with as the current offerings are pathetic, thought about reloading but the decided to wait for CE's ammo. Interesting stuff out there;

There used to be quite a few batches of primed .22LR brass but i guess it was bought up.
