Hand Gun Question

I purchased an as new Smith and Wesson Model 53 in .22 Jet. The firing pin selector is on center fire. Can not get the selector to move to rim fire. Not even sure which way to try to rotate it. I believe back for rim fire. I have put some Kroil on it. Any ideas?

Thanks, Gary

Thanks for the video. My selector is "stuck". Actually think this revolver is un fired. The Kroil, so far, has not helped. I am thinking of putting a small piece of wood on the selector and tapping it. For now, I will soak it some more.

I used a block of wood and was able to move the selector. Very stiff. Put a drop of Hobo Oil on it! Video helped a lot. Thanks again.

Before you do that use some heat , preferably from a heat gun . And give time for the kroil to work , a week at min .
