Does anyone know about .410 over/unders?

I have .410 over/under that was given to me many years ago and my father just gave it back to me and of course it is broken. The selector switch that makes the firing pin hit the top barrel (.22) or the bottom (.410) is broken. It will not go into either position. Anyone work on these or know of a good/trustworthy smith that could help me out?
Thank you.

I remember when I was a kid a neighbor had a 410 side by side that I wanted so bad. They wouldn't even let me handle it or talk about a price.

Those old Savage's are very basic. The selector if I recall is kind of a pita to change but any local gunsmith can do it. No need to try and find some one who specializes.

I have a Stevens 22-410, same as 24 Savage. The side selector wore out years ago. The hammer was replaced with one that has a hinged or movable firing pin selector built into it, and it works well. But, I believe you can get a kit from somebody ( I can't recall who) to replace the original. Do a google search. Good luck, Barlow

Try Numrich Gun parts for the kit
