Hall M action spring replacement

background , i have Hall M action which iam trying to replace firing spring:
i bought three different action springs from Wolff spring company:
a: Hall bench rest action. stock number: 61932, marked 32 lb spring, length: 4.74 in length
b: Remington xp-100, 600 and 660 spring; stock number: 63328, marked 28 lb spring, length: 4.00 in length
c: Remington xp-100,600 and 660 spring: stock number: 63332, mared 32 lb spring., length: 3.20 in length

iam not sure what what spring to use to replace the old old spring??

the one that is most close to the original spring in terms of length is the stock number 63332, 32 lb spring

iam not sure what spring to use
If anyone has a contact number Mr Alan Hall: who was maker of the action, i would really appreciate getting a contact number to talk to Mr Hall.

any advice would be greatly appreciated
thanks

Alan has no parts and usually doesn’t answer the phone much anymore. The Wolfe springs that are cataloged for Hall are for the rimfire actions. For most of his actions Alan used the 660 series spring, so you are on the correct path with the 660 series. You should probably try both the 28 and 32. I use the 28’s

my info came a long time ago from Stan Taylor and Dusty Stevens - source as good as it gets so they deserve the credit

Yes I know this is an old thread but....Funny, I have on Hall M and right after I got it I sent the bolt to him to replace the FP spring. He told me that it was an XP 100 spring.
