H4895 for 223 in AR's?

Looking at data on H4895 for the 223. Looks to be a respectable performer in a bolt gun. Anyone tried or using it with their AR's?

Interested in how it works with Bullets 55gn to 69gn out of 9 twist AR.

Thanks for any input.

After many years of using Varget in my AR 15 behind 69,75 and 77 gr bullets with good results, I tried H 4895, and groups shrunk even more. I now use it exclusively for my 2-300 yd shooting.
Many other powders were tried, but I found H4895 to perform the best.
23.5 to 23.9 behind a 77 Sierra works well for me, but it's a pretty warm load at 23.9, definitely use a hard primer.

I think I will try it as I have been using benchmark for sometime and blc-2.If the h 4895 is a winner it will make me happy as I have been trying to shoot my bull barrel dpms and not getting the best results with it lately.

I have been getting .5moa and better out to 300 yards and under 1 moa out to 500 with Varget and 69smks.

Thats hard to beat considering im using cheapo Lee reloading equipement on a cheapo Model1Sales AR i put together. But i just cant get under .5moa, very close. Its worth playing around with.

Fivering, that is indeed some interesting info. Have you tried the Wolf primers in your AR loads? Good, Bad or Indifferent?

Jon & Rock, If you guys get a chance to test it before I do (which is most likely) I would surely like to know how it goes.

By the way, I see where some places have increased prices on primers yet again. Twice in less than one year. That stings a bit.

I use nothing but Wolf Magnum primers in all my shooting, which is mostly Long Range any more.
My SD's have gone from the teens to the high single digits with the only load change being going to Wolf primers.
