H4350 vs H4831sc vs N560 for my 270win

I'm about to work up a load/loads for my 270 Win. since my 243 Win is being re-barrelled and bedded at the gunsmith. The powders I have that are most suitable for the 130gr Grand Slams are the 130gr Pro Hunter are H4350 and H4831SC. I also have some N560 I bought for my 6.5PRC when I get to it. I have a lot of data for the 4350 and 4831, but not very much on the N560. Is it too slow for these weight bullets or is it just not a popular choice for the 270. Eventually, I'll be working up loads for my son's 308, my 30-06 and 243, so I feel like these powders will be suitable across most of them. I originally bought these 130gr bullets to try in my 6.8SPC as a heavy load, but I feel like the 95gr TTSX or 120gr SST loads I worked up with A2200 and H335 will do all I want.

It would be nice to make some ladders while it's still summer so I can find a load that won't be over pressure if I shoot them in hot weather, and before the season starts so I can see how they perform.

53-54gr of H4350 and your choice of 130gr bullet is where the magic is made in the .270. Velocities should be right around the 3000fps mark with half moa or better accuracy. My bullet of choice is the Berger Classic Hybrid. It has a BC very near the 140VLD and the velocity of a 130.

Contact us at : Support@capstonepg.com. We may be able to help you on data for the two 130 grain bullets you mention ( be sure to include the cartridge and make, type and weight of bullets you need VV DATA for).

This is what I found.

I have a Vihtavuori book and have referenced their web page. I'm hoping to hear about results from people's work up and personal experiences. I'm not dead set on using only the Vihtavuori. I just don't find very much commentary across different forums about it being used in a 270win. Without having worked any loads for mine yet, if I had to predict which of the three will give me the most consistent shots across a temperature spectrum it would be a tight race between the H4350 and H4831SC, I'm just how the N560 will fare compared to these two.

I use VV 165 with 130-150 gr. bullets in the 270. I've run VV 560 but prefer 165. 165 is cheaper with better case fill and better accuracy and a little bit more speed. Factory Win mdl 70, Ruger American, Remington 700 bdl.
