H4350 vs H4831sc in a 6.5x284

Did some initial testing with H4350 vs H4831sc in my 6.5x284. Looking for 2950 with the best loading density and accuracy.

H4350 looks like it is hard to beat with the 142 SMK. Easy single digit SD numbers right off the bat. H4831sc seems to run higher pressures when you are approaching 2950 fps.

This is with Lapua brass and coated bullets seated into the lands.

Anyone have any suggestions? I was hoping that H4831sc would be the ticket as I have a bunch of that powder I can use.

My brother shoots a 6.5x284 with 142smk's, 30" krieger and norma brass. He uses h4831sc and in his rifle the more powder he feeds it the better it groups. He finally settled on a load that shows slight pressure but still groups well under an inch at 300yds for 10 shots. Pm me if you want more of his load info.

Im also interested in this. Im shooting through a 30" with a 260AI. I just started useing H4831 from R19.

With the 30" tube ive been focusing on large bullets and slow powder but i have hear alot of good things about H4350 and 130gr bullets. My pocketbook isnt allowing my to go out and buy pounds of powder and bags of bullets so my testing has been very limited. Any info can be helpfull.

With R19 and 140gr Nosler competitions I was able to amazingly get to 3000fps with very little pressure signs and good groups.

I was shooting the noslers becuase i got 500 of them for $50. So i switched to 140gr Amaxs and H4831. The 4831 sure shoots cleaner and at a mild load of 46.5gr I was able to get groups under half inch at 300 yards. Im going to be out testing my next best accuracy node at 47.76gr and seating depth this weekend if the weather is calm. I will give some results.
