Interesting. I didn't know there was a Swiss flavor. Is that older production? We shoot A LOT of H322 for .223 with Wolf SRMs. Great Combo.

With currant availability and prices you might want to keep all of them. Depends on how much you shoot a year. If all were accurate I would keep them.

Yes I had a friend who was an old bench shooter and I kind of inherited four 8lb jugs of the scottish and 3n 8lb jugs of n133 and 5 four pounders of 2015 br it is probably from the 80s it was stored in an old home bomb shelter he had it climate controlled use to store powder for all his buddies.......i have started to use a little of each and have been doing a little experimenting

Swiss? Maybe Scottish? My memory isn't the greatest, but thinking Hodgdon started H322 with surplus US, then new production went to ICI in Scotland, then to Australia when the Scottish Nobel plant closed... early '90s until today. Scottish made the PPC great. The Australian stuff wasn't as well liked & focus went to other powders. That could be where the N133 fits into your friend's stash.

The earliest 2015BR was made in Israel for a short time. The 4#er I have left with a '92 lot # comes from China. The BR suffix stuff is reportedly quite different than newer production 2015. The BR stuff has been outstanding in 358 Winchester with 200s & pretty decent with 225s. The little testing I did with it in 6PPC was fairly good, at times, with 68s & 70s, but a bit quirkier than H322.

Thanks my bad ....scottish i am going to try it in 222 tomorrow neck turning brass with remington and berger benchrest bullets.........I tried the 322 in 6 ppc today with berger and euber bullets shot really well

Yes, that's so. ICI Nobel in Scotland made most, more likely all, new-manufacture Hodgdon extruded grades for around 10 years until it closed sometime around 1990. Nobel also had a domestic range that ran alongside and predated the Hodgdon products by many years.

I've never heard of Swiss made Hodgdon powder. Switzerland does have a propellants manufacturer in the form of Nitrochemie Wimmins A.G. which makes the Reload Swiss range for Europe and is contracted to produce a minority of Alliant branded products, the best known being Reloder-17. Given powder suppliers' propensity to buy in odd lots from alternative suppliers to overcome supply difficulties, added to Hodgdon starting as a buyer of post-war surplus lots, maybe the company did source some there at one time. Only, this is the first mention I've heard of 'Swiss' H322.

Accurate Arms Co. sourced most of its powders for at least 10 years until c. 2001/2002 from Explosia A.S. in what is now the Czech Republic, including the grade it called 2015BR. This powder is still available in the UK and EU as Lovex S060, and is as excellent as ever.

When Western Powders bought Accurate Arms c. 2001, it ditched the Czechs and switched mostly to General Dynamics Valleyfield in Canada for its extruded 'Accurate' grades. (Valleyfield also makes IMR-brand extruded powders for Hodgdon under contract.)

The Czech-made powders were unobtainable in north America after 2002 until fairly recently when Shooters World restarted importation and sales using its own product names. For some reason, S060, 2015BR as was, isn't included in the SW range though.

You don't want that. Just give me your address and I'll dispose of that for you.

Chezch 2015 BR is great stuff.

Please take a number sir and stand behind the yellow line you are # 8 thank you for your patience

Have a great day

If I am not mistaken the "Scottish" 322 was a light green color. The Scottish performed much better in my .222's than the current product from Hodgdon which is labeled made in Australia.
