H322 / 6ppc

Link

Silver $$ Contributor
Hi

I know most use N133 in 6ppc however for some reason it's not available in my area of N. N.Y. state.

I have H322 on the shelf. How about some loads using L.B'S 68gr - OO's Boat tail's AND SOME 66 GR Flat bottoms. In a Hart 1-14 tube.

thanks

Another question in Sinclair they compared N133 to IMR 4198 saying it is much the same. Is there a good load with that?
If so ?

Why don't people use the IMR if it is the same? And not the H322

thanks again Link

Link: Checkout Hodgdon's 2008 loading manual. It contains a lot of reliable, tested, and safe load combinations for 6ppc, BRs', and various "oddballs" for which you will not find anywhere else. I use several of their loads as my "standard". Costs about $8.00 in soft-cover.

Link: And for a "no-cost" option, go to the 6ppc cartridge site,, scroll down left side of home page), on this web site. 2 loads listed using H322 powder. Not as popular as VV133, but that doesn't mean it won't work for you.

I use H322 and I've seen others using it. Never used N133, but I do believe in this case, majority rules and the majority of those I shoot with use N133.

Like you, it's only available to me if I order it. If I'm loading up my equipment to go to a match and notice I'm low on powder, I can run pick up more and don't have to wait for the UPS man.

I have no problems with H322, but I think I have to pay more attention to temperature. My early morning 70 degree load changes from my afternoon 90 degree.

I have been using h322 for about 2 years i have found that the best load for me in my remington action it was not a good idea to go over 27.5 with a 66 and 68 grain bullet in the hall for 100yd im using 27.8 with a 66 grain bullet and for 200 yd im using 29.0 with a 68 grain bullet hope that helps bill
