H-S mag

I'm looking to build a tactical/varmint rifle. I have a number of Rem 700 actions but decided to buy a custom action for the project. I bought a Barnard SM repeater. The question is, does anyone have experience with either the H-S precision or the Badger Ordnance magazine systems? Any advantages of one over the other?

Both work, the HS isnt as quiet or easy to drop a mag from, and can be difficult to get mags for, but is less expensive than the Badger.
IF my life depended on it,how likely?) I'd want a Badger, beyond that the HS does what its supposed to do.

I use an HS mag system on one of my 308's. I was at a shoot where conditions were pretty dusty and the 10 round mags continually failed to feed the rounds to the top. Once the mags were wiped out internally, they worked fine. But there wasn't that much dirt at all in them, only a bit of dust. They were unreliable at best. If I had it to do over again, I'd get the Badger Ord system or Seekins system. As it is now, I'm trying to get the HS mags to work reliably since I have a bit of money invested in them.

I have the Badger bottom metal and magazine system on a "tactical" 308 Remington Model 700 based gun. It is great and rock solid. Magazine just fall out but are solidly attached and quiet when in the gun. Magazines come in 5 round and 10 round sizes. The 5 round mags are better if shooting from prone or the bench. I have but don't use the 10 round mag due to it's length below the stock. The stock is a McMillan A5.
