H&R MODEL 700 22WMR SEMI AUTO HELP!

I have a friends model 700 H&R in .22 mag and cant get the bolt handle out. Most have a detent and you just pull it out. I cant remove the bolt without getting the handle out. If anyone can help me call 1-315-986-2915 Jon Lennon

I know this is the wrong place but I need an answer quick if anyone can help.

If you are sure there is a spring loaded detent then you might try flooding the area with oil or parts washer fluid if you have a parts washer. Probably just grit in there keeping the plunger or ball or ?? from having enough travel to release the bolt handle.

I looked in my old exploded drawings book but no H&Rs.

I found a diagram on numrich and it has a relief cut in the handle for a detent. I will try kroil and whatever else I have to get it

After soaking in kroil overnight the handle came right out. Thanks again for the diagram and manual along with the penetrating oil idea.
