Gunsmiths in NEPA area

I live near Berwick PA. Does anyone know any gunsmiths in the area that do good work? The 2 smiths I normally go with take forever on work. The one even made the comment to pick up my stuff up and take it out of his shop because I keep asking why it’s taking so long to change a barrel. Hart’s is a local gun shop that does this type of work but they’re over priced. If you do have any leads, please post their phone numbers and contact info. Thanks,

Chris

Premier Accuracy in Mt Penn PA. Bill is a good guy and has treated me very well.

Thanks for the info. I don’t like when a smith tells me he’s going to order a reamer 2 weeks ago and then you call and he still hasn't ordered it. Furthermore, this guy is pushing 3 months now and it just sits in his shop. I understand these guys can be busy, but it also seems like these smiths jump on the big money projects first and then smaller stuff they do when nothing else is available. And the fact he made the comment to tell me to pick up my gun and take it out of the shop if I wasn't satisfied is a slap in the face too.

It took my guy 5 weeks just to bed my action.
And he's less than 2 miles from me, but after 30 years in a body shop last thing i want to do is pester him.
Here's A couple things to keep in mind that we always told our production manager.
1st, Time is money, so don't be wasting my
time.
2nd, You can have it right, or you can have it right now!
Dusty is right, ship it n forget it for a while, I know it's hard to do, but craftsmen are craftsmen for a reason and things take time.

Overpriced? What do you consider a fair price? Good gunsmiths are busy, for a reason. This is one area in which you'll have to be patient.

Ship it to somebody and forget they have it. I suspect youll run into the same issue with any good gunsmith and even worse if you are close enough to swing by and check on it
Dusty,
Timing is great ..
I have a Great friend and Gunsmith … In seven days on a build will be in shop 14 Months. I sent Him everything but the barrel and Stock .
I know the stock was in His hands 6 months ago.
I just heard maybe done by Friday ?? (what Year) ?
One of my Friends ? told me , if I was a world class shooter your wait time would be less !!
I will have to check my records to see what may be coming ???? It's a what for what ??

All Good Smiths have all they can handle …. All in Fun ..
