No one should have to go into debt to pay medical bills. Especially at the end of their lives. I have friends that are essentially propetual debt slaves due to a single medical issue. It's so common now, people don't even bat an eye.

If you are at the end of life, Don't pay it. When my wife passed away 8 years ago from a 5 year battle with cancer I had a huge mountain of bills that were never going to go away. Once I realized that, I let them go away on their own.

Everybody's situation is different. I couldn't do that as I pay my bills. My insurance ain't cheap, but I never owe anything after my wife and I have to use it.

I pay mine too, And I have a very good credit score now, Those bills were just not something that was doable, I would not have been able to do it if I lived to be 100.

Thanks for everyone's patience as finally got some pictures sent out to a few of you all here.
I will have the lathe under power so whomever buys it can run it first.

I appreciate the support from the forum. Someone is going to get a great lathe for precision barrel work.
I do not have any insurance and the money will be used towards the $20-60k that my PTSD treatment is going to cost me. I am having to sell my home also. PTSD sucks.

You mentioned PTSD treatments, are you a military veteran? If so, the VA can take care of you.

If military talk with va.

If not talk with social worker from hospital may qualify for medicaid or another type of insurance that will back pay and cover previous bills.

Discuss with hospital and billing department and try to come to an agreement of some sort.

PTSD is no joke. My wife, who is tougher than woodpecker lips, went tilt after 10 years of investigating child molestation cases, kiddie porn, sexual assault, etc. She saw and heard shit you can’t imagine…

But she got help, and got better. Much better. Never give up, bpctcb. There’s light at the end of the tunnel.
