Gunsmith Kinks

Brownell's book series. I sounds like there are 4 volumes. Also it sounds like it was written in the 60-70's.
There have been reprints more recent but is it the same book or are there updates?
Other than CNC milling is EVERYTHING else done basically the same as it was back then. It is hard to believe a lot has not changed.
But I know very little that is why I am considering buying the book set.
Also I can not find a inexpensive set, it looks like they hold their value, but I just started looking.
Thanks
Troy

You are pretty well spot on with your description - it is still very good information and most of what is in there covers guns you will see regularly. It's worth having around for a reference and it makes for great reading as well.

I find them in used book stores occasionally - even in the Los Angeles Metropolitan area. They are a hoot and the information is awesome.

It is money well spent. Each volume is different from the previous ones, but all volumes reference topics to previous volumes in the index. Lots of great info, tips, tricks, etc from individuals throughout the gunsmithing world.
