I called them and asked this question several years ago. At that time they used Retumbo when it was available and H-1000 otherwise.

thanks. i guess i could have called them up but that would mean working out time difrances and so forth.

any thaughts on the charge weight used?

In addition, their 7 mags are not your standard 7 mm remington magnums. They use a variation of that caliber. I think it is a 7lrm or something like that.

right ok. thanks.

i was doing some numbers and i would heve to be pourin around 76.1 gr of h1000 to get that vellocity wich if not only stupid but imposable.

thanks guys

H1000 or Retumbo will get you there you have to work up your charge I load 69.5gr of H1000 for 168 and get just over 3000 fps 69.8gr of Retumbo and get 3027fps with a 180 hybrid out of a 26 inch barrel.

we have 2 Remington senderos and both get 3050 out of a 168 berger with 69grs h-1000. we have now went to a 180 berger and get 2940 with 67grs h-1000.

i think the issue in my rifle is barrel length. ive got a 610mm wich i think is around 24".

once i burn it out i will be gettin a 26 or 28" i would think.

at the moment the most ive had is around the 2900 mark.

thanks for the input.

any pet loads that people have to share id be interested in hearing them. ive got a couple that work but for curiousity sake you know?

Their "standard" caliber is now the 7LRM with 180 Bergers. It used to be 7mm Rem mag with 168 Bergers.
