Got Home from the hospital Friday after spine surgery last Monday. Had a five-hour procedure. Had two rods, eight screws and four spacers installed between four vertebrae. Hope this helps my 74-year-old bones.

i fell and cracked a vertebrae in Sept. ortho Doc says to just let it heal but im having tremors in my arm and leg. sounds like you got the rite fix. hope your recoup. goes well.

Heal fast and listen to the doc!
C4-5 for me are a point of constant issue.
Putting off the surgery as long as possible on my surgeons suggestion.
Now my bionic left hip and soon to follow knee...getting older is not for sissies.

Pirate I feel your pain, everyday.
I have 10 screws , 2 rods and a support plate holding my lumbar spine together (fused from tail bone to L3).
8 surgeries all before I was 63 now 73 and there isn't a day that I don't feel it, made me old before my time.
Listen to the DRs. and the therapist, do your exercises but don't over do them, put as little stress as possible on your back. It takes well over a year to really start feeling better.
You are going to know weather changes and storms approaching long before they get there. You will get better but it takes a lot of time.

I feel your pain!

The worst health issue I had I was on the operating table for 16 hrs.

Lost 19 pints of blood and was in Intensive Care for 3 weeks!
