I think I was just saved by the length of the 375 case... The Aztec analyze mode heats the case waaaay more than normal, and still it did not go off...Did the same thing once except I was using a drill and socket to turn the cases. Myself and the brass did a little dance when the primer went off (a few seconds after pulling it off the flame and setting it down actually).
Bull***t !!A little primer pop never hurt nobody. No more power than a small firecracker. Will just a scare you is all
I even shoot empty cases with live primers in my garage to check firing pin strikes.
That’s just a scratch. Lol.Bull***t !!
I did the same thing and the primer came shooting out of the case and stuck in my arm.
Bled like a stuck pig!
I know a guy that annelaed a case with a live primer, when he was showing a guy how his annealer worked. The case was laying there and it went off. He told the guy that he was hit by it. They guy said he was kidding and he siad look at the hole in my shirt. His wife took him to the hospital and they took xrays. They said they would do more damage taking it out then letting it there. Thise primers have more power then most people would think. MattA little primer pop never hurt nobody. No more power than a small firecracker. Will just a scare you is all

Static electricity in a vacuum cleaner hose will set them right off. I won't say how I know..I survived the wife's attack with a broom. When sizing large quantities of brass for a p. dog trip, I would prime brass with a towel in my lap while watching TV. Once in a great while a primer would get in the carpet. Ever hear a CCI large rifle primer go off in the beater bars of a vacuum cleaner? Wife went totally berserk!

Messed up the carpet and subfloor a bit and left a decent mark in the vacume.
Still to this day it still gets mentioned around hunting season.
