Group Buy- McMillan XP-100 Rear Grip BenchRest Stocks

Over on Specialty Pistols we are doing another vendor direct group buy..this one is with McMillan Stocks.
They have given us a really good price, and if we have enough sold, it will be an outstanding price!

Here is a link for the SP group buy:

If you have questions, please PM me. If you are 100% sure that you are going to buy one or more, please let me know. Once we have enough guys saying they are buying, I'll set it up with McMillan for them to accept your orders.

Thanks,

Mike

Anyone else in? We are going to submit our orders to McMillan on Thursday Aug. 18th 2011 to get this going.

Thanks,

Mike

These are starting to show up: the semi-inlets arrived first, the straight bolt handle orders next, and now the "dogleg" bolt handles which require a manual milling operation to recess the handle prior to the "color" coat.....everything else is CNC programmed. My stocks arrived today....they look good!

(The SHOT show probably slowed things down this week, but my understanding is that these should be completed in the next couple of weeks...)

It was really great to work with McMillan to get these made again! Thanks to everyone who participated!

Please post pictures of stock

There are lots of great pics on the group buy link posted above Mike.

I wish our pistol laws weren't so restrictive here in Australia. These look like a fun build.

Photos??? Here is a few..the first three are general, the stock on the left is a late 90's semi-inlet that was in the prior photo, the middle and right arrived last week, and are the standard inlet for the XP-100, with the exception I chose a straight bolt handle (I'll be using the PTG XP-100 one-pc. bolt from our other group buy). The 2 new stocks are as received, I have not cleaned/polished them up yet, and still have release agent on 'em, etc.

The last 4 photos show the trigger guard area...std. inlet from McMillan is the Rem ADL guard, with brass ferrules installed front and rear. My installation will vary from this...the front T/G screw will become an action screw, using the center (loading port) screw location, enlarged and threaded. McMillan provides an aluminum billet to locate into the stock to duplicate the factory XP set-up with the screw from the top. My first build will be a 6.5-.284, so I'm looking for a beefier system than factory...I have one other done this way, it works great!

Please Note: You should be able, depending on your browser to click once on the photo to enlarge, once it has enlarged, click that image to "supersize".
