Hi ya'll,

new to the board and was wondering where one could buy factory 6br ammo at??

also was wondering what everyone's opinion is on moly bullets??

[Moderator: www.grafs.com carries Lapua Loaded ammo. However the 90gr and 105gr are currently out of stock and have been back-ordered for a while.

I got some 105gr Lapua loaded ammo a while back to try out in a friend's 6BR. It shot quite well--grouping under 1" at 200 yards.

Re Moly
I normally shoot uncoated bullets, but when I've bought the factory ammo,both in 6BR and 6.5x55), I usually get the moly version because it offers higher velocities--closer the numbers that handloaders' recommend.

We've just been notified by Lapua's importer that Lapua will be shipping from Finland a container in a couple of weeks. We can possibly arrange a group buy of the 105gr Lapua loaded ammo if people are interested.

Graf's may be getting some too, but I don't know what their pricing will be--probably around $25.00 per box retail, and that includes shipping with a single $5 "handling fee" per order.

We think that all gun builders should probably have a couple boxes of this stuff to spec their "no-turn" chambers and do initial accuracy/velocity tests. And if you're building a new 1:8 gun, you can get one box of ammo, and then send the fired cases in to have dies fitted.

OK, it looks like the price will be $20.00/box of 20, plus actual shipping and a small drop-ship charge.

Right now there's only one case,30 boxes) scheduled to come in the country. Graf's may well take that whole case to fill their back-orders, and I think it is likely the price will be higher than $25/box, maybe closer to $27.50.

How many of you guys are in? I can order one case,30 boxes) just for us, but I've got to pay for this up front if I place the order, so don't leave me dangling. I think you'd want to get at least two boxes each.

We can also get some 90gr loaded ammo for $19.50/box if there is interest. This stuff is accurate and FAST, but has a .4 BC vs. .530 for the 105gr Scenars.

We were informed that the container has cleared US Customs and is scheduled to arrive at the distributor today. Hopefully the 105gr loaded ammo will be inside. Stay tuned.
