Groundhogs PA !!!!!!!!

Couple hours yielded a small one and a large female. The low hanging fruit is gone and it's mostly old veterans now. As soon as they see something, they skidaddle to the hedgerow or down the hole. Rebarreled an XP to 20 practical. I'm hoping load development goes quick before the late beans get too high.

I am glad someone has a few to shoot at!!! I haven't seen but a few all spring and summer so far around here. I think the coyotes might be taking their toll. I saw 7 big full size whitetail does in my feed lot the other day, not a fawn one with any of them.
I do know about the woodchuck hepatitis thing. I remember reading a big study done by one of the states that said most woodchucks only live about 3 years before hepatitis kills them...they also did say that it was not the same as human type, that is to say we can't get infected from a woodchuck.
Wish there was more around...I just picked up a 240 Weatherby magnum and would like to see what it will do to one.

I whacked three last evening, now at 43. My brother just passed 80. Seeing many deer with big racks and a lot of does but fawns are scarce. Same with groundhogs, not like previous years with many little ones. I'm on the same page with the coyote situation. My brother saw one last evening in a bean field. Sightings year round are becoming more frequent.
