Im shooting 7.4 gr of powder in Squirrel and 12.8 gr in 17 Ackley Hornet

The 17 Squirrel is a great little round. I run mine a little slower. I've shot several thousand ground squirrels with mine. Nice part is the barrel doesn't heat up much. Another good feature is mine doesn't foul much. I usually start feeling bad and will clean after 200 or so shots. Nice shot on the chuck.

The 17 Squirrel is an awesome little round for short field groundhog and crow shooting. I'm shoot it from on a 13 inch Contender pistol frame. I'd love to have a 21 inch rifle barreled setup. I've been working with the Hornady 15.5 gr NTx but may move up to the 20 gr V-max once my supply runs out.
