Groundhog shoots in S.W. Penna

There a two groundhog shoots in S.W. Penna. The clubs are about ten miles apart. Lawrence Co. Sportsmen Association www.shootlcsa.com and Beaver Valley Rifle and Pistol Club www.bvrpc.org the Lawrence co. club first shoot is on 4-26-09 and the Beaver valley clubs first shoot is on 5-02-09. Lawrence Co. will shoot at 200,300,400, and 500 yards the Beaver Valley club will shoot at 100,200, and 300 yards, and may be extended to 400 yards next year. There will also be a deer hunter class at both clubs.

The Lawrence Co. varmint shoot was held yeaterday there were 29 guns, Larry Bays was first in custom with a 198 score and Andy martin was first in factory varmint with a 181 score. The Beaver valley Rifle and Pistol Club Groundhog shoot will be held on 6-6-09, hope you can make it.

Is there a link to your rules and course of fire?

dreever, the ten ring is one inch we shoot 100,200, and 300 yds we shoot six shoots per target and score the best five. There is a custom class, factory varmint class and deer hunter class,hope this helps).

http://www.shootlcsa.com/ dreever, Here is the range in Lawrence Co we shoot at. I shoot there with Joe. The 10 ring is the same for all yardage. They have 100 thru 600 yds.

Danny, like Greg said the lawrence co. range is 100 to 600 yards, we shoot 200,300,400,500 yards for the groundhog shoots. We shoot six shots scoring the best five, the ten ring is two inches for all distances the highest score is a 199 so far. The next shoot is on 7-19-09 hope you can make it.

The Lawrence Co. Varmint Shoot was held yesterday 7-19-09 there were 28 guns registered. Larry Bays came in 1st, Walt Ketterer was 2nd and Dan Patinski was 3rd. I don't have the varmint class results yet but will post them when I get them.

Last sundays varmint shoot scores for the factory varmint class are Marlene Waddingham 1st with a 193 score and Gary Holben was 2nd with a 185 score.

The Beaver Valley Rifle & Pistol Club Groundhog shoot was held yesterday and we had 25 guns shooting the match. Dan Patinski was 1st. in custom class with a perfect score of 150, Herb Auten, George Danos, and Roger Zeniseke were tied for 2nd. with a 149. In the factory varmint class Roger Zeniseke was 1st. with a 148 score Andy Martin 2nd. with a 147 and Dave Prepelka shot a 144 for 3rd. place. Good shooting everyone.
