Great year deer hunting

LOL Sounds like I am quite the deer hunter, well it hasn't always been this way. When I started hunting in the early 70's in Ky, I went 13 years without a deer! Back then the population of white tails in Ky was way low. I didn't get my first deer till I moved to NY. I thought my hunting was over and was I surprised to find the deer were running over everyone up there. They called them Field Rats, and the farmers were begging people to hunt them! Although it was shotgun , I scored several deer every year up there. The groundhog hunting was great too! I met some wonderful people in NY and made very dear friends I miss very much, but the taxes made me move out when I retired.

Well Done indeed!
Stosh, I too had 2 dry years when I began hunting here in KY in 1982. Scored on a little gnarly yearling Buck in 83 and was simply elated. Sound KY F&W management practices and the access to private land improved my success over the years.
Likewise, I began to hunt the newly formed weapon specific seasons as you have.
I took my biggest Buck with my Muzzle loader, a 6 1/2 year old Buck that scored 159 1/2 after deductions.
KY is still a sleeper state for big deer.
