So I get this phone call on Monday.
"How'd you like to go to Williamsport and shoot on Saturday"
Im like, eh, my guns arent ready.
Ridgway is shut down and im not even testing that much...I dont have anything loaded...
I work till 1am Saturday morning...
eh...
"Well you can shoot one of mine."
You mean I dont have to load it or clean it?
"Sure just show up and pull the trigger"
I think there was something in there about asking muma but it didnt take to long to say yes.
Dave Way is the man.
I left work early so I could get some sleep.
Left my house about 3.25 am to get to daves place.
I'd like to thank everyone there for putting on a great bench rest match.
I had a blast.
kinda hard to miss this thing rolling down the highway.
The goodies inside....
So im shooting at the clay pigeons with a rifle I never shot before off a front rest and rear bag I im not familiar
with.
Dave and speedy are laughing at me as im trying to remove the empty cases from Daves gun.
kinda hard to do on a drop port action...
Its just foggy enough i cant see my hits.
And I got up at 3 for this....
Somewhere in the back round I hear ..... Shooter no.3 your shots are going to the left of the target.....
Next thing I know the sighter target is.... Up....
I center up, and shoot, and the sighter target doesn't go down....
What a sinking feeling that is..
Then the .....your shots are going to the left of the target..... kicks in,, and I shoot again, holding to the right.
BINGO.
Sighter target goes down and comes back up with a orange marker on it....
What a relief.. thanks Shelly....
I've shot a few targets over the years at 1000 but never at paper.
Thanks again to Dave Way and the Original Pennsylvania 1000 Yard Benchrest Club.
