Great start to the season for IBS

Looking forward to seeing what’s in store for the start of the score season. Mechanicsville, VA had a great turnout for their first match with Lee Martin shooting a perfect 250-25x ( pending records committee confirmation) and GMSA is looking like a great crowd for this coming weekend! The attendance was great at both Palmetto and Rattlesnake for the start of the 600 yard season with numbers in the high 30’s several times. The 1,000 yard season is also off to a great COLD start in Montana with some spectacular scores and groups being shot in some adverse conditions! Hope to see many of you at the matches this year and looking forward to seeing what the new ranges will bring in the Northeast. Thank you to Brian Fitch and Don Cameron for getting these new ranges going. HERE WE GROW AGAIN.

Looks like the IBS is doing just fine Rattlesnake was a blast as always. Good people and always trying to make things better which they have actually proven every time asked. My wife as a new member shot for the first time this year and she is looking forward to trying some new disciplines. The people are what make our sport worth the effort to drive across the country and spend the money (Lots) for the chance at a piece of wood for the most part. I’ve met a lot of great people and some lifelong friends along the way and if you are super competitive like me there is no better foundation for shooting than the IBS. See you again soon Jim !!!

Great start to the season shooting in 600 yard. The folks at Palmetto are top notch and the food was excellent! Looking forward to the short range matches getting started. There are a handful of us from the 600 yard venues going to give those short range matches a try this year and see if we can hang with the veteran shooters! Great venues, friendly people and launching freedom seeds in competition, what else could you ask for!

I have enjoyed the 600yd matches. Actually got a plaque or two.
It's got me impatient for score season !
Ready to go to GMSA 1,2 & 300 yd Saturday & Sunday. Bullets are loaded, gas in the truck. It's gonna be a good time!

I'm practicing my joking & ribbing & ready for good dinners with the crowd.

I know i scared off the hunter class shooters. :p That's a shame. I was gonna give y'all a chance but now that is out the window.
So at Mid Carolina In a month I'm all in !

See ya there !

Johnny,
I can’t keep my knees from knocking I’m so scared you are going to beat me with the Hunter gun and VFS. I might just have to not shoot this weekend if I can’t get them to stop knocking!

Looking forward to shoot GMSA this weekend. Always good time with friends and the shooting community.Hope to see everyone there.

Wow, a 25x in the opening match of the season….safe to say Lee didn’t take the winter off, great job Lee!!! Looking forward to the season, once I get through a couple of events over the next couple of weekends I’ll be able to start. Can’t wait to see everybody again and give my new Mayo Sail Tails a try. Thankful to be part of this community and sometimes being competitive lol. See y’all in Orangeburg in a few weeks!!!

Sunday was snowing again, but we could see. Speaking of Democrat bullets, Fuller shot this little one that had some potential with his 7 prcw.

I was sitting next to Jim on that relay and hid my ammo under a towel, as the snow was blowing in on us. I was shocked to see I got another 100 out of it.

Better lucky than good I guess.

Later on Sunday, it was cleared up and just spitting a little snow. I still had my ammo hidden because it was good luck lol.

despite me trying to get in the way, this very heavy gun Roy made the stock for sure looks like it wanna shoot....We aren't mentioning the 8 incher on Saturday in this thread lol!

And those are the highlights of the 1000 yard opener.

Tom

Congrats Lee Martin on that 250-25x!

Seriously, Tom and crew at 1000 yards…..wow…that is some impressive shooting right there! Congrats to all and thank you for supporting the IBS.
