Just a quick shout-out to Talley rings for making great products and providing outstanding customer service. I put a set of Talley Lightweight rings (which have integral bases -- fewer screws to work loose) on my new Stiller PredatorV 6BR pronghorn rifle. The "low" rings/bases were just barely too short to keep the 42mm objective on the Sightron 6.5-20 scope off the barrel, but Gary at Talley quickly put a set of "medium" rings/bases in the mail to me, and promptly credited my card when the original "low" set was returned.
I liked the Lightweight rings so much that I bought another set to go on my old Rem 700V .222. When I finally got around to putting them on I discovered that both rings/bases were identical, which doesn't work for the Rem 700 receiver (which needs a thicker rear base because the receiver isn't round behind the loading port). A quick email to Gary and the correct base was in my hands in a couple of days. I installed them this morning and the fit was perfect.
While I was at it I swapped scopes on my PredatorV, and was happy to see that the Lightweight rings had left NO ring marks on my new Sightron.
I highly recommend the Talley Lightweight rings -- well-made, easy on scopes, clean installation, light in weight. And the customer service is top notch, thanks to Gary.
