Sportsmen warehouse has a LB of 2400 on sale for $70 bucks
Maybe....if it's still good....looks like a old container. So, the $150 I paid for eight pounds of it from my buddy a couple months ago was a good thing? View attachment 1719817
Not a problem. Smells sweet, no clumping and first 50 loads I loaded for .44 and .45 shot just as well as my last batch. Buddy keeps all his powders in climate controlled storage and never opens until needed. He's been my powder supplier for awhile now. He had a stroke a few years ago and doesn't load anymore though fully recovered. Refuses to take more than he paid for it originally.Maybe....if it's still good....looks like a old container.
I just finished repurposing about 6-7pounds of various old powders from the 80's for PDn next season....760, 748, 3031, 4198. Got a few others too but they can wait till the next reload. I'm using the oldest junk first.
It all smelled OK but 222 and 223 ladder tests in each ran about 200 fps slower than velocities from manuals from that era.
They all grouped around 1/2 inch +/- so GTG for minute of PD.
