If I didn’t pay, she would have had to go the student loan route, which I would have ended up paying off anywayI hope she does make use of it. I'm sure it cost someone alotta money. I made my son pay for his schooling. His grades are off the charts. Amazing how when you pay for something it has value. Best of luck.
Are you and Ms. Schmidt Tech Alums? Congrats to all of you!One down, one to go.
Seeing your Grand Kids receiving a college degree is one of life’s high lights. It is up to her now to make use of it.
Congratulations to our Katie.View attachment 1614277
My Daughter and my Son in Law, are Tech graduates, when the older grand kid graduates next Fall, , that will be four Tech alumni. Are you and Ms. Schmidt Tech Alums? Congrats to all of you!
Had to? I think not.If I didn’t pay, she would have had to go the student loan route, which I would have ended up paying off anyway
Marilyn and I are thankful that we have the means to help.
Jackie, you have done right for your family for sure. Tech should give you a few honorary degrees! You should be teaching some advanced engineering classes at Tech! Cheers. My Daughter and my Son in Law, are Tech graduates, when the older grand kid graduates next Fall, , that will be four Tech alumni.
My Wife graduated from university of Houston and taught for 30 years.
I am the only one with no college. But, I paid my Wife’s way through U of H, my Daughter and Son in Laws way through Tech, my Sister in Laws way through San Jacinto College, and now my two Grand Kids at Tech.
Add it up.
I always say jokingly that there has to be a darned building at Texas Tech with my name on it, considering as much money I have spent there.
As I said earlier, Marilyn and I are both fortunate we can help out.
But, there is a motive behind getting them all educated. None are living with me………except my Wife![]()
It would be excellent if he taught “practical/applied” engineering based on his extensive work experiences. I met far too many “text book” engineers who were lost when they had to apply what they learned.Jackie… You should be teaching some advanced engineering classes at Tech!
Nothing like having some skin in the game ya know.I hope she does make use of it. I'm sure it cost someone alotta money. I made my son pay for his schooling. His grades are off the charts. Amazing how when you pay for something it has value. Best of luck.
