Gracey Case Trimmer

Has anybody have any experience using the Gracey Case Trimmer and what do you think of it.I am thinking about buying one and would like so info on it.
Thanks Dogfox

Hello DogFox, I've had a Gracey for a while, would guess I have 20-30k .223 Rem and .308 Win case trims on it. The original blades are pain in the rear to adjust. I replaced them with a single carbide blade made by Bob Jones which cut a bit smoother, wear longer and is much, much easier to adjust. More recently this blade was replaced by a Giruad Tool VLD carbide blade, it similar to Mr. Jones' but has a shallower chamfer. I also replaced the original motor with one from Giraud Tool. The Giraud motor spins faster and includes an on/off switch, the Gracey motor does not have a switch. The Giraud motor was a great upgrade, the cut was smoother and quicker.

I was very pleased with my upgraded Gracey until I tried a buddy's Giraud Trimmer. It is a major improvment over the Gracey. This thing is smooooooth, has ball bearings troughout. The shellholder is much better, it supports the case through the entire trimming cycle. The trimmer is vertical, trimmings fall down away from the case and shellholder. It's pricier than the Gracey, but well worth the extra money.
