How you like that 17AH? I considered one in a Contender. How does it do on body hits at distance? I like horsepower on chucks, and after shooting PD's, I realize there is really little comparison between the two.

Mine is not the Ackley Horney, just the straight hornet, so maybe the hornady hornet??? I forget the classification of this little round.
It does very well on body shots as long as you don't catch a shoulder too square with the 20 gr bullets. The 25 and 30's do well out to about 150.
I have this loaded with the 25 grain midway dogtown bullets and clearly they are pretty accurate and do the job. I bought this gun for fox but after my fox recording, also posted here, i am reluctant to shoot them on the property
