Got a new rifle

This is one of GA Precision’s Pinnacle Production Rifles Chambered in 6 Creedmoor. As I understand it with the help of the rifle’s parts suppliers they were able to offer it under the price needed to qualify for the Production Class in the Precision rifle Series, $2500. By the looks of the rifle, it’s parts and the groups it shot I’d say they got it right.
To get this rifle you need to get them a deposit starting in September for delivery the next Dec. thru March. I believe they only make 100 of these a year. I’m not sure wether it was my enthusiasm or that I may have been first in line but my rifle showed up with PPR243 as the serial number. VERY NICE.
After going through the break in procedure for this rifle I shot a few 5 shot groups. I’ve got another 6 Creedmoor so I had an idea what loads shot well in that one. I used a mild load for break in and a factory load for groups.
The Berger load did not disappoint. As one of the pictures shows I shot 2 5 shot groups at 100 yards back to back. .254” & .215”. At this time the optics we’re a Leopold Vari-XIII 6.5-20x40. I’m pretty sure with more magnification I could get these groups down in the 1s. I’m looking forward to trying.56364A52-5A83-4D36-BCAE-A7A9E74B5743.jpeg8438A0E5-A6BE-440E-B633-DE858E969834.jpeg

At the price they’re offering this rifle it truly is a steal. imagine the price were it not for this special. So buy one of them and start shooting in the PRECISION RIFLE SERIES.

Howdy !

If an “optical booster “ might work for you & your vision, it’d be one way do target work;
w/o having to $$$ a new high-end scope ?

Loved my 6.5 X 20 for anti-groundhog work, but have found that the amount of hair that has departed my head….the number of doors on my daily driver…. and the amount of scope magnification I use have all increased; as my birthdays advance !! I am now using a 2.5X- boosted T-36XR ( after using a 2X- boosted T-36 classic for some years ).
But hey….that’s just me.
