Got a bore scope and played with it a bit.

Looks pretty good to me

Round count is 5k, just used a jag and a patch and occasional bronze brush.
Looks like just in front of the neck has a pretty good carbon ring, neck area looks scored to heck.

So has accuracy totally dropped off?

Nope, accuracy went from 1/4 moa to 0.75 moa.
My brass could be the culprit thought, inside of the necks is pretty scored up.

You might get some accuracy back if you can get rid of the carbon.

5000 rounds out of a .308 barrel is pretty good, still looks like it some life left in it.

Try cleaning it first, and then see how it looks through the borescope.

I know some 308 shooters who have gotten 8k rounds.

Now that you have a borescope, clean it real good. After it's cleaned good see how it shoots, if it's satisfactory to you for what you use it for, keep shooting it till it's not.

I know some 308 shooters who have gotten 8k rounds.

I wont argue that but I see firecracking in the bore and that barrel is headed south.

Not terrible, some strange marks but idk any barrel than bartlien.
Copper, cracking, carbon. .

I saw barrels here with much worse fire cracking that were bench rest competetive.

Accelerator/carb out very wet for 5 minutes, than clean with tight patch and Kroil.
