I shoot benchrest. The rifle is a stock AR with bi pod..

I invite a guy to a match for the first time that brags about being a great shot and he says I’m no good in competition but if it’s a live animal I can make the shot count. - Heard it more than once..

A guy walks into the shop and wants to build a rifle to shoot an elk at 1000 yards because he saw it on tv. Me, do you reload? Customer, no but I’m gonna. I’ve heard this dozens of times..

And this, believe it or not, I’ve had come in the shop at least twice with different guys. Guy brings a gun in pieces and asks us to put back together and says “someone broke into my house and took my gun apart and I need it put back together “ LOL!!! They got charged extra..

I routinely get chastised for saying bullets when referring to cartridges. My son also tells me if I call a magazine a clip I have to hold the firearm sideways.
