good price for savage action

So iv been thinking of starting my 6mmbr build on a savage action like a model 10 or 12 ? I dont know what a fair or good price would be for one .

I recently bought a used 110(long action) that was pretty beat for $250. The parts that were beat were the stock and barrel. the previous guy has spray painted it flat black. The action was fine. Any short action models seem to be higher cost and harder to find.

Shop around. There was a post on here recently about M700s at WalMart for $350. That wouldn't be a bad place to start.

+1 gunbroker.com has a few "junkers" every now and then. You just need a little patience.

If you wanna do it right......look at the Target Action from Savage

Solid bottom s/shot with target Accue trigger

yes..large shank..about $550ish...light years ahead of a Stevens 200

They generally run from 275.00 to 350.00 depending on what trigger it has and they will cost more with an SSS or Rifle Basix on them.
