Good day Coyote hunting

My friend Mark and I went coyote hunting this morning near Wheatland.

My buddy Charlie is a cattle rancher who had a calf attacked and asked me to take a few out.

We saw 5 and got 3.

We both use 204's. I had factory Winchester White Box ammo, 34 grain. He rolls his own, 39 grain Sierra BK's.

And the 3rd???? I guess those 4000fps 20cal bullets just incinerated it????

The 3rd went into a raspberry bush and we didn't feel like fishing it out. But we saw it.

Actually my factory loads drop dogs in there tracks whereas my friends max loaded home rolled Sierra's don't brake up and sometimes punch through.

I told him he might want to drop the velocity down to 3600 to give the bullet a chance to do it's job. My factory ammo out of my CZ 527 American pushes 3600-3700 with JHP and scrambles them real good.

I actually find that the 39gr blitzkings explode on the hair at high velocity.

Got another one this morning.

Man it was warm today-there aren't going to be any coyote's left if it doesn't start snowing soon so I can start ridding my snowmobile.

I know the Yotes are doing the snow dance!
