well you guys I am heading out to go coyote hunting this morning! Before I head out I want to say I am hooked! I have been out about ten times now and I have missed two and gotten 3 coyotes so far. Yesterday evening I had my first successful experience calling in a coyote and actually hitting it (the other ones I saw on my way to my calling spots and missed one I called in).
actually calling one in is so much more exciting. the one I called in last night circled around to what was the down wind side of me (the wind had stopped completely) and popped up pretty much out of nowhere about 50 yard away (It really got the heart going lol). It was definitely a learning experience too.
The 40 grain Nos ballistic tip out of my 221 fireball really did some damage inside, but didn't make a to big of an exit hole, at least I don't think it was to big. It was a little smaller than a marble probably. that Is probably to big for the serious fur hunters though. got to go!
