Good beginners rest Around $150 to $200?

I will be using the rest for informal target shooting and varmint hunting. The rifle is the Savage LRPV in 223. Can anyone recommend a good front rest for these purposes in mt price range? Thanks.

Thanks. I've narrowed it down to the Caldwell Fire Control, the Hart Varminter or Sinclair Basic or BR rest. All are about $200. Any opinions?

Buy a C&J Machine for 50 less,their just as good..

If you shoot very much you will be better off with the Hart or Sinclair. They are quality compared to the other brand.

Ditto on the Sinclair or Hart rest. Keep an eye out for a used Hart, Sinclair or Bald Eagle any of these rests are usually a very good value used. You will find that more rest tops are made for these rests than some of the other makes .Also, they will keep more of there resale value if you decide to upgrade in the future. Just my 2 cents.
