Sightron will be a bit brighter and have a larger eye box to work with. Turrets on the Sightron aren't as stiff as the GE which I appreciate. I don't know if you will gain much more performance for the weight added.I'm really interested in the fine focus on the SV but the ED version isn't in my budget now. I have a Golden Eagle now. How do the standard SV's compare?
If you already own a Golden Eagle would this be a second scope??
I have two Sightron scopes and both are excellent imo

non ED SVSS then the GE is the clear winner IMHO.
clicks and turret are nicer and I think the glass is a bit more consistent and better (just my opinion) I put one on my latest build and at 1250 I actually saw the holes in the paper, but to be fair it was an EXCELLENT optics day.
on some yes. it is nice, but isn't necessary on a GE or a NF comp. Was the 2nd fine focus knob really a big improvement over a regular one?

I have the ge and the ONLY thing I would replace it with (money considered) would be the sved. the ONLY thing!!I'm really interested in the fine focus on the SV but the ED version isn't in my budget now. I have a Golden Eagle now. How do the standard SV's compare?
