Gold plated m60

At the Rock island armory museum if anyone would want to ever take a look it has a huge collection of military arms.

Hell I like them all. Even though the m60 is made of unserviceable parts I would love to own such a beast.

I had to hump one of them around for too long to ever want to see one again... ::)

A kid in Basic Training was able to manhandle that thing one-handed. One of only two people that I ever saw do that, in person.

Big tall black kid, from the streets of Milwaukee. Grew up a hard life, and had the grit to show for it.

Actually a quite nice guy by the time we left there.... the military truly did have a positive effect on him.

While I loved shooting it, I'll leave the humping to somebody tougher (or dumber ;) ) than me! :o

Well thanks. I knew it was a helicopter, but what kind is it. I have heard of most of them but never a UH 34. Just wondered what it looks like, or its nickname.

Here is a view of the UH-34

Oct 08, 2008 · This helicopter is retired from the Marine squadron HMM-362. From 1965 to 1968 this helicopter served in Vietnam and still has 54 bullet hole patches.

I recently read that sometimes it was called 'The Shuddering $h!thouse"

I've only shot the M-60 a few times....but have shot ump-teem thousands of rounds thru a M-60D !!! All from a UH-60 !!
Those that have served...Thanks again for your service and Welcome Home !!!
